You are certainly not alone! And change is within your reach
Small Steps to Wholefoods launches again soon!
Here’s what I know to be true:
We've lost touch with the fact that our body’s are created by what we put in our mouth. Literally. We are what we eat. There is no two ways about it.
So many of us are totally overwhelmed with contradictory and confusing information about food and now GUILT now plays a big part in our lives.
This has to stop.
It is not healthy!
Small Steps to Wholefoods is all about taking small, incremental steps towards incorporating more real food into your life – for good. No guilt.
Who is Lisa Corduff?
I’m a mum of three kids four and under (I know – what was I thinking!?). I spent most of my life in blissful ignorance about the food that I was eating but started to think a little more critically about food when my eldest child began eating it. What was 'healthy' anyway?
I studied at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and became a certified Health Coach but, in truth, all I got was MEGA CONFUSED! I was exposed to 100 different dietary theories. ONE HUNDRED! All of these diets could prove ‘with science’ that theirs was the most effective way to eat. Paleo, Atkins, low-carb, raw, South Beach, vegan, vegetarian etc.
It was overwhelming and made me a little crazy. I just wanted to know what the heck to feed my family!
AMONGST ALL THE CONFUSION A FEW THINGS WERE CLEAR:
- What works for one person might not work for another. We are all so different, and require different foods for ultimate personal wellness – so no one diet fits all. Therefore, prescriptive diets that are a 'cure all' will not work for everyone.
- We eat waaaaaaay too much food that is created in factories. We are filling our bodies with substances that it cannot recognise as food and are deeply out of touch with what 'real food' is. We didn't mean for this to happen, but it has, and now it's time to take back control.
So here’s what I did.
I started to eat food that was real. Processed and packaged food is kept to a serious minimum here now. And you know what?
It wasn’t more expensive – once I learnt some tricks.
My kids do eat it (and so does my husband!)
It did take effort (but that’s cool because it’s WORTH IT)
I began to feel better. In fact, I felt great.
It sounds so easy to just ‘eat real food’ – but even armed with all the info, I have still found it a huge transition and an ongoing challenge. That’s OK – there’s some pretty big things to learn but there’s also some really basic stuff that you can get started with straight away. The main point is – I’m off and away. And now, there’s no looking back... except when I’ve had a shit day and reeaally need chocolate.
Everything changed when my mindset changed. It is THIS that I want to share most with you.
If I can do it... You can do it too!

The #1 reason I decided to join this program was because I wanted to stop buying commercial breakfast cereals. Just that one thing. Anything else was a bonus. I was already well on my way on the whole foods path when I started this program but I just felt like there was something I wasn't getting; something stopping me from pulling it all together. Anyhow, I'm happy to report that we have not had any cereals in this house since week 2 of the program and my kids have stopped asking for them too. The gold I have picked up from you Lisa Corduff and your guests! Some of the simplest tips were light bulb moments. Thank you!
As well as getting new, simple ideas for each meal of the day, bonus topics we’ll cover include:
You will also receive gorgeous Small Step Stationary! Either print out as hard copy or fill in online. Includes:
- Menu Planner
- Recipes to try
- Recipes we loved
- Daily practice (to gently remind YOU that every day you have the chance to do something kind for yourself)
- And of course a Small Steps shopping list to fill out
These are yours for life. Amazing!
Why do this program?
Yep, I hear you – there’s a million online courses out there with the aim to help you eat better and feel great. Small Steps doesn’t promise you an overnight success.
But here’s what you will get
- realistic and practical advice from someone who is juggling a lot too!
- Inspiration and guidance from the leading lights of the wholefood, real food movement.
- Your own personal cheerleader (me!)
- A community of like minded people in the FB group ready and willing to absorb information and share in your success.
- A chance to create real change
We are all real, none of us are perfect and neither is this program. It IS NOT a cure all. It IS NOT meal plans and restrictions. But it IS about helping you take control again and implement some really simple ideas to eat better. It WILL change the way you view food, I can promise you that. We all need a bit of inspiration and something to cut through all the BS out there about food! Seriously – too many rules make me crazy. I don’t have time in my life for it – so this is about celebrating how easy it can be to make better choices.
Argh! HELP! What about after 8 weeks? I can’t do it all alone!
I totally get that eight weeks is not long enough. Because making real, lasting change to your diet takes time (small steps, right?) For some of you it’ll give you the kick up the butt you need, others might want to hang around for more.

How much time will I need to devote to Small Steps?
There is a lot of information that comes your way! You'll have lots of short videos from me and the guest interviews range from ten minutes to 45 minutes. So Small Steps becomes your TV station! Be prepared to watch the content, create a little time and space to take it all in. Our experts are very generous with the information they share. That’s one of the reasons why each module takes two weeks - one week you receive info daily and then next week you can implement a few ideas and catch up on vids if you haven't had time to watch. (If you have difficulty watching videos online or just prefer to see information written down, the videos will be available as transcriptions for you and audio files).
Are there menu plans?
No. After years of joining programs that provide me with a menu plan that I couldn’t follow due to not being able to afford or find ingredients, or my family not liking the meals, or not finding meals appealing, or feeling crap because I fell off the wagon and thought I’d failed – I designed a program with a whole stack of ideas (there are 20 pages of recipes in the eBook you receive upon completion!) that you can pick and choose from throughout the program to suit your family and your budget.
Can I follow this program if I don’t eat gluten/dairy/sugar etc?
YES! While this is not a ‘paleo’ program, a sugar-free program, a vegetarian program, it provides so many ideas for foods that you are bound to find something that suits. The FB group is a fabulous place to share recipes for more specific dietary needs.
My approach is that no specific food groups are off the table – but we should always strive for the BEST quality food at all times.
What if I know NOTHING about wholefoods?
Even better! This is the best starting point. The information is wide ranging and everything is explained clearly. There is support via the FB group to ask your questions – no question is too silly!
Is it expensive to buy all the ingredients?
NO! The whole course is about taking small steps when you are ready and when the budget allows. We focus on a meal each week so you don’t have to change everything at once. In fact, all throughout the program, I focus on celebrating small achievements – because with every small step you are getting closer to creating a sustained change.
Do I need to have a family to benefit?
NO! Most of the information is generic, however there is a slant on family food in the guest interviews. Some focus specifically on kids stuff – like the Real Food Lunchbox ideas interview with Jen Shaw.
Is this suitable for my husband?
YES! So many participants in Small Steps wrote and told me the biggest breathroughs were happening in their family because their partners were viewing some of the videos and starting to ‘get it’. But I would say that the program is most VALUABLE for those that do the shopping and preparing of food.
I’ve been learning a lot about wholefoods, will I get anything out of the course?
Good question! I am not a wholefoods goddess – I’m still learning too. But I’m learning from the best and you will be exposed to the women who have inspired me on my journey – most of whom are mums doing their best too. Good health is also about so much more than the food we eat. That’s why you’ll find information about mindset and movement.
And don’t forget – you’ll have me in your inbox for two months – encouraging you and supporting you to make those changes you may have been putting off!
I have finally watched (almost) all of the videos. OMG the information provided has been phenomenal!!! As I watched each video I made changes here and there. The whole family is eating better and healthier -,which has been difficult since we moved to the US. Thank you so much Lisa Corduff for your efforts in producing this course it has made the daunting task of reintroducing wholefood eating in a foreign country so much easier. Small Steps to Wholefoods has everything in one spot to make it easy for you to navigate your way through the noise.
